I couldn't be more excited to be sharing with you about two amazing local products crafted here in Calgary, Alta. Check out my interview with Jenny Ballance, the founder of Wild Rope. When I saw the package from Wild Rope in my mailbox today, I started opening it before I even got in the house. We recieved an amazing handcrafted leash and collar set made of beautiful organic cotton. I instantly fell in love the beautiful ombre pinks. Such a beautiful contrast on Lola's orange brindle coat. The leash has a good weight to it and it feels soft but sturdy. It is simply gorgeous and I am in love with the brass hardware that is on both the leash and collar. My favourite thing about the collar is the fact that it works like a martingale collar which is extremely important to us because it is neccessary for our sighthounds or else they slip right out. Both products are made with quality in mind and Jenny's attention to detail is superb. The length of the leashes can be customized through Jenny. I have been a huge fan of rope leashes because they are estetically pleasing, comfortable to hold, and don't slip beneath my dog's paws as easily. I am so thrilled that Jenny is introducing such chic and quality made accessories to our YYC fur babies.
